Cthulhu's Vault

Players collaboratively tell the story of investigators confronting a Great Old One, using cards that represent details, events, and objects to add to the narrative. When a player connects multiple cards, they gain a bonus for the climactic confrontation, while matching cards can let another player take over the story and introduce an unexpected turn. The ending is not fixed: the group may defeat the monster, or a hidden cultist may help bring about its ascension. The final conflict is resolved through storytelling as the investigators and the Great Old One face each other.
