Players place cards face up showing one or two gangster illustrations and must vocalize the current count in a sequence that ascends from 1 to 7 then descends back down. When a card shows two gangsters the player names both numbers and the next player loses their turn. Certain images change the required response: a gangster aiming a gun requires no spoken response, while a gangster holding a mobile phone requires a throat-clearing sound instead. Mistakes force the player to take the discard pile into their hand. The first player to shed all their cards wins.
