Players cooperate as animists who summon and combine creatures to explore and clear tactical encounter maps. The game uses deck-building to represent each hero’s summoned bestiary; cards are added and upgraded between scenarios to customize playstyles and synergies. Encounters progress across three linked chapters with a save-and-resume system that preserves campaign state between sessions. Each playthrough pits the group against a varied pool of minions, treasures, magic items and bosses as they grow stronger and prepare for a final confrontation with a recurring antagonist who hunts the party throughout the campaign. Play emphasizes teamwork, card combos, and tactical positioning rather than hidden GM control.
