Golden Heroes

A British superhero role-playing game focused on comic-book storytelling rather than extensive dice rolling. Characters are created by randomly rolling powers, then developing an origin story that explains them; powers that cannot be justified are discarded. Different numbers of power rolls support a range of character power levels. Combat is divided into Frames, with characters spending actions before and after their opponents act. Frames can be taken from the following round to dodge or escape danger, creating fast-moving, dramatic encounters. The rules include physical, psychic, and magical powers, character creation, campaign guidance, and an introductory adventure.
