Ten years after an unexplained collapse, society survives without electricity, modern technology, or reliable utilities. Villages rely on salvaged equipment and labor-intensive methods, while scavengers search the ruins of abandoned cities. The group belongs to a village whose biodiesel-powered heavy equipment is needed for the coming planting season. When a vital part breaks, they travel to Sutterville to search a warehouse and recover a replacement, guided by the damaged component and the mechanic’s knowledge of where it came from. The village mechanic remains behind, as their skills are too valuable to risk on the journey. The adventure includes a floor plan of Casso Holding, an average brick warehouse.
