Soldiers in Postmen's Uniforms

A solitaire skirmish recreating the day-long defense of a Polish post office in Danzig on the first day of WWII. Players command the postal workers and noncombatants as successive enemy decks portray three historical attack periods—morning, midday and evening—each with distinct enemy forces and escalation. Gameplay proceeds in turns made up of enemy, defense and clearing phases (plus an escape phase in the final assault). Each turn the enemy deck drives assaults via card draws while the defender performs a set number of moves and actions, manages casualties, and tries to protect survivors until the attackers’ final incendiary card ends the scenario. Scoring reflects how many postal workers and civilians survive the siege.
