The Shakespeare Game

Make your fortune in Shakespeare’s London. Journey from Stratford to the capital, collect performance cards, and move between theatres to stage plays and earn money. Balance quick, smaller performances against waiting for the right cards to create a hit, while event cards introduce sabotage, fire, and plague. The first player to earn £120, or finance a new theatre on the Southbank and stage a medley performance, wins. Along the way, players learn about Shakespeare’s plays and Elizabethan England through illustrated cards, a map of London, tokens, playing pieces, and an information booklet.
