Ticket to Ride Map Collection 4: Nederland
Players build train lines across the Netherlands by collecting colored train cards and claiming routes between cities to complete destination tickets. Most connections are double-tracks, both available to be built, and every route requires paying a bridge toll in coins. The first track’s toll goes to the bank; the second track’s toll is paid to the player who built the first track. Players start with a fixed coin pool, may take loan cards if they cannot pay tolls (which cost endgame points), and compete for a large endgame coin-ranking bonus. Games balance high-value destination tickets against coin management and timing of route claims.

What are Bridge Toll Tokens for — do they count as victory points or money?
Bridge Toll Tokens are used to pay bridge tolls during the game; at game end they only affect who receives the special Bonus (per the Bonus table) and otherwise have no direct point value (p. 2; p. 3).
If I claim the second track of a double-route, who gets paid the toll?
When the second track of a double-route is claimed the toll value is paid to the player who claimed the first track (not to the bank) — if the second claimer had to take a Loan instead, the first-track owner still receives the value from the bank (p. 2).
What happens if I don't have enough Toll Tokens to pay for a route?
You must take a single Loan card from the bank, pay no Toll Tokens for that claim (even partial), place the Loan face up and you can never repay it; each Loan also costs you −5 points and makes you ineligible for Bridge Toll Token Bonuses (p. 2; p. 3).
How many Destination Tickets do I draw and how many must I keep?
At game start you are dealt 5 Destination Tickets and must keep at least 3; when drawing mid‑game you draw 4 and must keep at least 1, and any unkept tickets are discarded face‑up (p. 2).
How are Toll Token end‑game bonuses awarded — what about ties or if someone took a loan?
Players are ranked by total value of Toll Tokens at game end and score Bonus points from the table (different values by player count); tied players each receive the corresponding bonus, but any player who took a Loan is disqualified from receiving Bonus cards (p. 3).
In a 2‑player game do both tracks of double‑routes stay available, and what is the Neutral Player?
On this map all double‑routes are in play regardless of player count (p. 2); however if you choose to play without Bridge Toll Tokens then with 2–3 players only one of each double‑route is in play (p. 3). The Neutral Player variant (2 players, using Toll Tokens) adds a third neutral color that claims routes from revealed tickets starting on turn 6, played alternately by the two players following the rules on p. 3.
