Tidal Blades: Heroes of the Reef

Jucătorii intră în rolul unor tineri eroi care concurează într-un turneu de cinci zile pentru a se alătura gărzilor de elită ale regatului insular. La fiecare tură, un erou se deplasează între locații, întreprinde acțiuni pentru a colecta resurse sau bonusuri, se înscrie la Provocări în arene și își sincronizează sosirile pentru a-și maximiza turele. La Arene, jucătorii încearcă Provocări asociate locațiilor, în timp ce în Fold îi așteaptă monștri cu care să se lupte. Finalizarea Provocărilor și înfruntarea monștrilor cresc cele patru atribute — Concentrare, Spirit, Reziliență și Sinergie — și influențează poziția pe Tabla Campionilor. După cinci runde, concurenții sunt punctați în funcție de Provocările finalizate, nivelurile atributelor, poziția pe Tabla Campionilor și monștrii învinși, pentru a se stabili câștigătorul.

There's a lot of pieces and complexity for the amount of game. But it was enjoyable. The theme worked really well.

Dice rolling game with a mild worker placement aspect involved. PROS - Very nice solitaire puzzle, with just the right amount of randomness keeping it interesting. - Good thematical implementation. The theme makes sense and you can relate to it through the mechanics. - Amazing, gorgeous, fantastic art and production overall. CONS - Waiting for your turn is not fun and turns are longer than they should be, so the more people playing the less fun each player has. - It feels cluttered, the design has too many elements for how simple the game actually is underneath them. - The deluxe box has a stupid size and proportions.

Love the world and art. Setup and board space is challenging. Gameplay is a bit solo as you declare your challenge to complete and your opponents might not be interested to know. Sense of progression feels good and the rounds feel fast and the game will end before you know it. But still it takes more than 2 hours.
