El Día Más Largo

A operational-level simulation of the Normandy campaign from the D-Day landings on June 6 through June 30, 1944. Play proceeds in twelve turns: five detailed time-of-day turns for D-Day itself, followed by seven multi-day turns covering the rest of the month. Players command Allied and German forces represented by 300 counters on a large hex board. Units conduct amphibious landings, movement, combat, and assaults on fortified positions and towns; terrain, bunkers, and Mulberry harbors affect movement and supply. A single die resolves combat and other checks according to a ten-page rulebook. Victory is determined by area control: the Allied side wins if it holds six specified towns by the end of June 30.
