Arrange Marriage places a Friend card face-down beside a child now, but the marriage is actually carried out at the beginning of the next Generation when that child grows up — then you follow steps 3–6 of the Marry action (adjust Income/choose Friends, adjust Prestige, resolve special effects, draw a Child) (pages 12, 9).

You may save an Additional Action pawn for later rounds within the same Generation, but each Additional Action pawn is single-use and must be used before the Generation ends (unused pawns are returned to the supply); any pawn used is returned to the supply at the end of the round in which it was used (page 11).

Yes — you can never leave a single face-up Friend card: whenever you take Friend cards and only one remains you must take that last card for free, then replenish the face-up display (page 17).

Unless a Friend card explicitly says otherwise, its special effect resolves immediately when the Friend becomes part of your family and is a one-time effect (pages 12, 18).

Income is collected in the Income & Cleanup phase at the end of each round (except after Round 9 you get no Income), while at the end of each Generation you gain Honor equal to your current Prestige and plus one Honor per child born during that Generation (page 11).

By default a couple cannot have more than three children; if an original family member loses a spouse due to a Complication they may remarry and their existing children count toward the child limit for the new couple (see Complications and Remarrying rules) (pages 12, 17).
