Players act as citizens of a besieged town who recruit and train warriors, clerics, knights and mages to strengthen defenses and repel monsters. On a turn, players draw meeples from a personal bag and spend them to take actions: upgrade meeples, add new meeples to the bag, fight monsters, explore towers, or improve the town to unlock future options. Drawn meeples are placed on a lodging area at turn end. Victory points come from defeating monsters, completing quests, investigating towers, and end‑game boss fights and quests. The included components add tower exploration tiles and solo play options.
