Chants for the Old Ones

Players take on the role of rival cults operating in the cities of Arkham, Innsmouth and Kingsport, performing sacrifices, recruiting followers and summoning creatures to invoke ancient entities. Each player starts with the same basic cultists but pursues a different Old One, each with unique invocation requirements that shape deckbuilding and card play. Gameplay focuses on constructing and modifying a deck to meet those chant conditions while researchers and rival actions interfere. The first player to complete an Old One’s summoning requirements wins.

It's a very good game. Primarily, it's a solo game where the rivals bother you more than actually competing against you. The game's artwork is fabulous, gorgeous. The production is excellent, luxurious! Rarely do you get such thick cards in your hands. The only downside I find is that it has many possible actions explained through icons that often give a different idea of what you actually need to do, and during the first few games, you constantly need to refer to the manual. Even so, it's a very good game—just like all the ones from Invedars, really!
