Storm Over Stalingrad

A two-player simulation of the October–November 1942 fighting for a major Volga city, pitting German attackers against Soviet defenders. Play proceeds in alternating impulses where players move or fire units, resolving combat and tactical card effects over six game turns that each represent two weeks. Units operate at battalion-to-brigade scale across area-based maps; victory is determined by control of predetermined victory areas at the end of the scenario. The system uses a streamlined Area–Impulse mechanism with tactical cards that influence but do not dominate play, offering a relatively low-complexity, 2–4 hour historical wargame experience.
