Victorian-era literary figures clash in small-scale skirmishes on a foggy London board. Each hero is represented by a unique deck that captures their playstyle: a fog-stepping assassin, a deductive strategist supported by an ally, two vampiric sisters who sap opponents, and a dual-natured pair combining cunning and raw force. Players move miniatures, play cards from their hero decks to perform attacks and abilities, and resolve combat without dice. The system is highly asymmetrical and supports two- or four-player matches, emphasizing tactical positioning, deck management, and mastery of distinct hero strategies.

How many actions do I get on my turn — and can I take the same action twice?

You take two actions each turn; the action types are Maneuver (draw then optional move), Scheme, or Attack, and you may take any combination of them — including the same action twice (p. 5).

What does 'Boost' mean — can I discard a card for movement and still use its effects?

Boost means discarding a card from your hand to use its Boost value for movement instead of playing the card; a boosted card is discarded and you do not get its printed effects (p. 6).

When we both reveal attack cards, how do we resolve effects and damage?

Attack cards are revealed simultaneously; resolve effects in the order IMMEDIATELY → DURING (damage calculation) → AFTER, and if both fighters have After Combat effects the defender's After resolves first (pp. 6–8).

What happens if I need to draw but my deck is empty?

When you would draw and your deck is empty, your fighter takes 2 damage (p. 5).

How do Invisible Man fog tokens work — do they give a defensive bonus?

Invisible Man places and moves fog tokens according to the fog rules; a fighter in a space with a fog token gains the defensive bonus provided by those tokens as described in the rules (p. 9).

In team play, if one fighter on my team is defeated, does my teammate keep playing?

Only the defeated fighter is eliminated; their teammate continues to play, and a team only loses when all fighters on that team are defeated (p. 10).
