Players arrive in 19th-century Vienna and pursue social and economic advancement through strategic dice placement and resource management. Each round, players roll and assign dice to locations that grant income, influence with patrons, actions, or victory points, with options for short-term profit or long-term patronage. Competition for limited spaces and the variability of dice results shape tactical decisions and timing. Players balance acquiring resources, securing favors, and positioning for scoring opportunities across several turns; the player who best adapts plans to opponents and available dice scores the most victory points.
