Battalion: War of the Ancients

Command armies drawn from four ancient factions, each with distinct units and tactical options. Select a faction, draft rank tiles to form units, and deploy infantry, cavalry, missile troops and special elements across the battlefield. Balance rank benefits against unit size: adding tiles increases strength but can reduce maneuverability. Play involves managing orders, sustaining forces in the field, and using faction-specific tactic cards to exploit strengths and opponents’ weaknesses. Supports two or four players and emphasizes unit composition, tempo control, and positional combat.
