Carcassonne: Wheel of Fortune

Players build a medieval landscape by placing square terrain tiles to form roads, cities, cloisters and fields while deploying follower meeples to score features. The game replaces the usual start tile with a large 4×4 Wheel of Fortune piece that sits at the center of the board and introduces a pig token that can be spun around the wheel. Certain numbered tiles trigger a spin that moves the pig 1–3 spaces; alternatively a player may place a follower on the wheel instead of on the board. The wheel is divided into six sectors with effects that range from forcing followers to be removed to awarding bonus points, adding an element of area-wide events to the standard tile-placement and meeple-management gameplay. This edition functions as a standalone game and is compatible with other expansions and the original edition.
