A Rasp of Sand

This tabletop RPG is an OSR-compatible exploration game inspired by roguelites and set in an oceanic temple. Players create successive Heirs who delve through shifting Depths filled with traps, puzzles, events, NPCs, treasures, and more than fifty plant and animal monsters. Characters gain Sand as experience, currency, and stored knowledge by ingesting it, inheriting memories and mutations from creatures and previous generations. Heirs can retire or perish, passing on Trades, traits, equipment, and discovered secrets to those who follow. Random generation systems create the temple, rooms, monsters, and Heirs, with deeper floors becoming stranger and more dangerous. Requires Knave or another OSR-style game to play.
