A Shattered Night

A princess is abducted from her castle by agents of a ruthless prince and taken east into the forests and dungeons of Mercia. Characters pursue her trail through ancient woodland, uncovering intrigue, espionage, faery influence, and druidic magic. The adventure combines overland travel, investigation, stealth, and dungeon exploration. Finding the princess is only the beginning, as rescuing her may require care and deception as well as force. Designed for 2–5 characters of levels 4–6, it is set in a mythical post-Roman Britain and can be adapted to other settings.
