The first chapter of a ten-part Advanced Fighting Fantasy campaign takes place in the north-east of Khul, beginning in the city of Arion. The adventure starts with the Heroes receiving their mission and is designed for a party of four to six new characters, though experienced Heroes, hirelings, or followers can also be used. At least one Wizard or Sorcerer is required to overcome certain challenges.
