Anzio: The Fight For The Beachhead

A solitaire or two-player mini-game simulates the Battle of Anzio at division level, from the January 1944 amphibious landings through the fight to hold and expand the beachhead. Players work to outflank the German Winter Line and open the way to Rome while managing initiative, weather, off-map bombardment, German air attacks, and twelve turns of operations. The game includes a mounted game board, 41 die-cut counters and markers, and an eight-page rulebook.
