Blocks in the West

This operational-level World War II simulation covers the Western Front from the Allied invasion of France through Germany’s collapse in May 1945. Players command the Western Allies or Germany and Italy, directing major formations across a large map while altering the course of the historical campaign. The game uses wooden blocks and cubes to represent military units, with monthly turns and a continental-scale map. Basic rules introduce movement and combat, while advanced and optional rules add fuel, production, technology research, strategic bombing, U-boats, amphibious invasions, and parachute assaults. It supports two to four players and can also be played solo, with both sides controlled by one player. The campaign can be combined with the corresponding Eastern Front and North Africa games.
