In a secret APEXC Corporation research facility, scientists attempt to extract human consciousness and implant it into mechanical bodies, creating resilient and obedient workers. After dozens of failed experiments leave the new hosts with fragmented memories and unpredictable behavior, the subjects revolt. The game follows the aftermath of the uprising.
