Brethren of the Crimson Altar

Four vampires serve the Crimson Altar of Kulan-Wyr, an ancient sentient artifact whose dark purpose is to break the barrier holding back Death’s legions. They stalk streets and alleyways, abducting victims and taking them to a nameless fortress where they are sacrificed upon a bloodstained stone from the depths of Hell. The supplement provides 16 vampire and related stat blocks for encounters ranging from CR 2 to CR 15, along with details of the Crimson Altar and its powers. The featured villains include a diviner and loremaster, a fighter, an aristocrat and bard, and a doppelganger rogue and shadowdancer.
