C.A.R.D.S.

A simple fantasy role-playing game uses a standard deck of playing cards, with one Game Master and one to three players. Each player chooses a suit representing a class—Fighter, Cleric, Thief, or Mage—and uses its cards for hit points and special abilities. The Game Master adds Jokers, which represent treasure. Play unfolds through narrative scenes and conflicts. In a conflict, the Game Master draws a card and the appropriate player chooses one from their hand; the higher card wins, with aces acting as both high and low cards. Losing cards are discarded, while winning cards return to their owner. Additional rules cover special powers, treasure, character death, and random quests.
