Dark Fantasy: Magic

A collection of tables and short essays for creating wizards, spells, and complete magic systems in dark fantasy settings. It explores flawed heroes, terrible villains, corrupting magic, ominous ruins, and damned wastelands. The system-neutral material supports use with different role-playing games and includes ideas for spellcaster appearances, familiars, the costs of magic, and mishaps caused by failed or dangerous spells. Some sections use familiar fantasy RPG concepts such as abilities, hit points, and saving throws.
