Dark Fantasy: Places

A system-neutral collection of tables and short essays for creating dark fantasy locations, including villages, cities, ruins, forests, and wastelands. It focuses on flawed heroes, terrible villains, corrupting magic, ominous ruins, and other dark fantasy themes. Random landscape, civilization, mythical ruin, and wilderness tables help generate settings during preparation or play. The material works with most roleplaying games, with some sections using familiar fantasy RPG concepts such as abilities, hit points, and saving throws.
