Players explore a nocturnal fantasy setting where night-themed cards and supernatural effects alter the usual flow of play. The set introduces Night cards that are played after the Buy phase, Heirloom cards that replace starting Copper, and Fate/Doom cards that distribute Boons and Hexes to players. Players draft and buy kingdom cards, manage decks, and react to persistent and one-shot night effects while pursuing victory points through deckbuilding choices.
