Dungeons & Dragons Basic Rulebook (Second Edition)

A fantasy role-playing rulebook in which players take the roles of elves, dwarves, halflings, or humans exploring dangerous dungeons, confronting monsters, and facing dragons. One player runs the adventures while the others describe their characters’ actions and make decisions within the setting. The rules cover character creation, adventuring, combat, magic, and running the game, with more than 100 monsters included for use in creating scenarios. The material is organized for new players and can be used as a standalone rulebook or with the Basic Set.
