Investigators travel to haunted ruins of massive stone monuments around the world to uncover secret knowledge and perform rituals before a cosmic alignment threatens Earth. Players explore locations such as Chichen Itza, the Easter Islands, Stonehenge and the Great Wall of China, drawing and resolving Mystic Ruins cards that present encounters, clues and ritual tasks. New Glamour Spells, Relic Unique Assets and additional investigators provide tools and roles for confronting a fresh Ancient One, while Prelude cards introduce alternate scenarios and objectives that alter setup and goals.
