Everdell: The Complete Collection

A tableau-building game in which players develop a woodland city by placing critters and constructions, collecting resources, and playing cards to score points. Expansions add new locations and challenges: mountain expeditions, underwater sites, seasonal festivals, and hazardous forests, plus asymmetric player powers, unique critter meeples, giant mounts, and automated opponents for solo or cooperative play. Components include varied resource tokens, specialty pieces such as glass pearls and metal point tokens, and a wooden tree board that structures turns and seasons. Can I place a worker and play a card on the same turn?

No. On each turn, take only one action: place a worker, play a card, or prepare for the next season (rulebook, p. 8).

Can I put more than one worker on the same location?

Only if it’s a shared location, marked with an open ring; exclusive locations allow just one worker. In a two- or three-player game, each Forest location holds one worker, and you can’t place two of your own workers on the same Forest location (rulebook, p. 8).

How many cards can I hold, and where do I draw them from?

Your hand limit is 8 cards. Draw from the deck unless an ability specifically tells you to draw from the Meadow (rulebook, p. 11).

If I play a Critter for free using its matching Construction, can I do that again later?

No. Place an Occupied token on that Construction when you use it to play a Critter for free, and you can use each Construction this way only once. The token stays even if the Critter is later removed (rulebook, p. 10).

Do I have to wait until everyone is ready before preparing for the next season?

No. Players prepare for the next season on their own turns, not all at once; when you do, bring back all your deployed workers and then take the new season’s listed bonuses (rulebook, pp. 12–13).

When do green Production cards activate?

They activate immediately when played, and again when you prepare for spring and autumn. They do not activate during summer, though a green card played in summer still activates immediately (rulebook, pp. 11, 13).
