Five-Hole Crokinole

A Crokinole variant played on a board with four additional holes, one in the center of each 10-point area. Disks pocketed in these holes are removed from play and score -10 points, creating opportunities for offensive shots while making precise plays riskier. The added holes produce more variable scoring. Boards can be specially built or standard boards can be retrofitted, though the modification is usually permanent.
