Players aim to be the first to play all their cards by forming sets, runs and numeric relationships on the table. Cards can be grouped as trios or ladders, or linked by operations and comparisons such as addition, subtraction, equality, and greater-than/less-than. Existing melds may be altered during play: players add cards to groups, reorganize combinations and use a joker as a wildcard to complete or change sets. Rounds combine hand management, simple arithmetic and tactical modification of the shared tableau.
