Players invest in and operate early railways across France or Germany, using maps that show generic rail lines radiating from key cities. The game focuses on buying and selling share certificates, developing routes, and timing investments as companies grow or falter. Rounds advance as trains run, companies expand along preset lines, and dividends or payouts change company values, forcing players to balance short-term returns with long-term control. Two separate maps provide different strategic layouts while keeping the core stock- and route-management mechanics intact.
