A setting and rules supplement for swashbuckling adventures from the reign of Elizabeth I through the Napoleonic era. It covers pirates, musketeers, highwaymen, duels, codes of honor, compulsive gambling, black-powder weapons, and expanded fencing rules. Additional rules address ship combat and the distinctive equipment and situations of the genre, including cutlasses, pistols, chandeliers, carriage ambushes, and other elements of romantic adventure.
