Hold the Line: Frederick's War

A tactical wargame of mid-18th-century European battles, covering eight historical engagements in the Silesian and wider War of the Austrian Succession/Seven Years War era. Players command Prussian and Austrian forces with period unit types, leaders, and nation-specific optional rules that reflect differences in training, cavalry use, and light infantry tactics. Play uses a command-point activation system: players spend allotted and randomly determined additional command points to move, fire, and close assault units, creating uncertainty and command friction on the battlefield. Typical scenarios last about an hour and emphasize maneuver, command economy, and combined-arms coordination.
