K2: Lhotse

An expansion that adds a new two-sided mountain board, new weather tiles, and fixed-rope tokens to the base game. Players still manage a two-person climbing team and aim to reach the summit while balancing altitude, acclimatization, and exposure to weather. One side depicts a steep southern wall split into three vertical sectors; wind and snowfall vary by sector and fixed ropes let players create shortcuts or safer routes to escape bad weather and avalanches. The other side offers a faster race from a safer southern pass with a shorter 15-day climb and an initial hand reduction that trades discarded cards for end-game points. Requires the base game to play.
