Players command Union and Confederate forces on a 1:200,000 map, with turns representing five days and units sized at roughly 2,500 men under a leader. The game offers Basic and Advanced rules: Basic covers movement and unit activation, while Advanced adds sea movement, supply, and expanded leader mechanics. Multiple scenarios recreate different phases of the campaign and determine victory conditions.
