Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game

In this deckbuilding games, players need to cooperatively defeat a stream of villain cards that move along a belt of spaces. If one of the villain cards reaches the end of the track, or if the scenario card is lost, players all lose together, but if the boss card is beaten, only the player with the most victory points on villains they personally defeated wins. Player competition also comes from players snatching up cards each other needs from the communal card buy display. The game has some issues. It would have been a better experience if it was fully co-operative. It also has a huge array of characters and villains yet some cards rely on other specific cards being in the game to function. For example, the magneto card requires x-men cards to defeat him. This artificially limits what one of the major appeals of the game is, which is to have a marvel mashup game. Artwise, poor choices were also made. Cards will have different abilities with the same art, and the art direction is in love with the 90s super hero era. I'd take early kitch or modern comic art over that style in a heartbeat. If you want to play a similar game that's improved in terms of being fully co-op, has cards which directly help other players, and builds on the systems established here in interesting ways, definitely check out legendary encounters: Alien. For a more satisfying silly marvel hero mashup game, I'd go with Marvel Dicemasters. ☆ Art, Iconography and components functional ☆ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ★ Multiple plays stay interesting ☆ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★★☆☆ Raw enjoyment

Poco temático, encarnamos a una especie de jefe de Shield que utiliza los servicios de los superhéroes que van saliendo y de sus propios agentes. Me parece bastante inferior a Marvel Champions.
