Long Range Desert Group: Special Operations Against Rommel 1941-1942

A solitaire game covering British special operations against Axis forces in North Africa during 1941–1942. Players undertake one of four missions, or combine them into a campaign. Each mission provides operations points for recruiting a special operations team, moving across the map, attacking enemy forces, and achieving objectives. Event cards control the opposition, while combat uses a quasi-tactical system in which opposing units take turns firing. Success can provide additional points, while heavy losses reduce available resources; the game ends when no points remain.
