Magnate

Two players compete to increase the value of five district areas before time runs out as the duchy's succession nears. Players draft and build cards on their side of each district, aiming to outvalue the opponent by achieving a higher total rank in each district. Cards require suit-specific resource tokens to build; players gain tokens from already-built cards each turn according to dice rolls or by selling unwanted cards for resources. Periodic tax events force players to pay from their holdings. The player who wins the most districts at the end of play claims victory. Setup uses a Decktet plus dice and suit tokens.
