Lead a cabal seeking control of provinces across Europe, the East, and North Africa through warfare, plague, excommunication, and other forms of intrigue. Players use action cards, collect income, attack opponents, and acquire provinces, which provide resources and determine victory. The game ends after the Mongol hordes, controlled by a non-player force, launch their seventh attack from the East. This edition includes a mounted map, updated components, streamlined rules, and optional rules for one-, two-, and six-player games.
