Microlite78 First Edition Lite (Second Edition)

A rules-light fantasy roleplaying game that recreates the style and feel of late-1970s first-edition play using clearer, D20-based mechanics. Players create characters by rolling four attributes and choosing a race, class, alignment, and background, then explore adventures as fighters, magic-users, clerics, druids, thieves, and other optional classes. Combat uses base attack bonuses rather than attack tables, and tracks physical wounds separately from hit points representing luck, skill, and fatigue. The rules cover spells, monsters, treasure, hirelings, morale, monster reactions, experience, dominions, and campaign guidance, with optional systems for advantages and disadvantages, psionics, action points, sanity, and more. The game is compatible with many adventures and supplements from early fantasy roleplaying editions and their modern clones.
