One Child's Heart

A tabletop roleplaying game about child welfare professionals entering the memories of a child in crisis through a mental health care experiment. Players explore pivotal moments, converse with the child, uncover the experiences’ impact, and work to build trust, offer support, and help reframe troubling memories. One participant serves as the Advocate, guiding the Professionals through each Memory and portraying the child. An original dice mechanic and Connection Tokens represent the developing relationship, while each Professional uses an approach based on the Heart or Mind along with personal Qualities. The game supports 2–5 participants and sessions of 2–4 hours.
