Players take the roles of Troubleshooters in Alpha Complex, a high-tech post-apocalyptic society ruled by a cheerful but unstable Computer. Their missions involve investigating threats, hunting traitors, and following official instructions while avoiding dangerous environments, suspicious citizens, and summary execution. Cooperation is required, but every Troubleshooter is also a secret traitor with personal goals. Players carry experimental equipment and lasers, conceal their own disloyalty, expose rivals, and try to survive the Computer’s contradictory orders and deadly ideas of happiness.
