Parched Tome

A tabletop fantasy roleplaying setting in Shihab, a harsh desert nation ruled by an extensive religious legal system. Nomadic communities, oasis settlements, river towns, merchants, clerics, warriors, and enslaved laborers exist under the strict authority of Amjad, the Judge. Foreign religions, magic, and non-human peoples are outlawed, while secret sorcerers call upon dark djinn and holy wars scar the wasteland. The setting provides material for adventures involving trade, law, religious conflict, slavery, political borders, desert survival, and exploration of a society shaped by fanaticism and scarcity.
