Paupers' Ladder: One Lonely Pauper

A solo ruleset that converts the base game into single-player play and adds three standalone scenarios. Players guide a pauper and a bird companion across a medieval fantasy city, learning abilities, gathering items and overcoming encounters as they pursue scenario goals. One scenario adapts the original competitive campaign into a solo progression of virtues and rival challenges; another pits the player against waves of undead and a necromancer who must be tracked to his lair and stopped with a special weapon; the third sends the pauper on a furtive mission to recover arcane knowledge and infiltrate a besieged city to confront dragons from within.
