Punic Island: Campaign Commander Volume III

A two-player operational-level wargame recreating the First Punic War campaign for Sicily and North Africa. One player commands Roman forces pressing a continuous offensive to seize cities and build fleets; the other commands Carthaginian and Syracuse forces attempting to disrupt Roman advances, raise armies, and hold key fortresses. Play combines area-based movement on a large Sicily/North Africa map with counters for units, dice for combat, and two card decks that trigger events, reinforcements, weather, and naval effects. Siege and naval operations figure prominently; players score victory points by occupying cities and destroying enemy forces while managing limited resources and rebuilding armies and fleets.
