Railroad Ink: Eldritch Expansion Pack

A roll-and-write puzzle game in which players draw road and rail routes to connect exits on their grid. Each round, common dice determine the route tiles available and players simultaneously extend their networks to score connections and bonuses. This expansion adds four special dice that introduce Lovecraftian elements: Ritual dice place portals and ritual icons to build a Madness network; Portal dice create links between distant areas; Tentacle dice draw tentacle segments that score for spaces they occupy; and Investigation dice move an investigator to collect clues for extra points. Requires at least one core set of the base game to play.

أسئلة القواعد

إجابات من كتيّب القواعد يقدمها مساعد القواعد في Ludoya.

Do I roll the expansion die along with the regular route dice each round?

Yes. Roll the expansion die along with the four Route dice at the beginning of each round; the expansion may also change the number of rounds or add scoring rules (page 1).

With the Ritual die, does the Ritual route have to connect to my existing routes?

No. You must draw the Ritual die result, but it does not need to connect to preexisting Routes. The Ritual expansion lasts 6 rounds (page 1).

Can I place a third Portal with the same letter, or connect Portals with different letters?

No. You can have at most two Portals of each letter, and only two Portals with the same letter connect to each other (page 2).

Can Tentacles overlap Routes, and can I draw Routes over Tentacles?

Tentacles can share spaces with Routes, but the way you draw them depends on whether the existing Route is straight or curved. Routes cannot be drawn in a space that already contains a Tentacle (page 3).

Can my Investigator skip a Station when moving along Railway Routes?

No. When moving between Stations by Railway, you must stop at the first Station you reach; you cannot skip it. Each movement point allows one movement action (page 4).

How do I score Clues, and do I get a bonus for collecting them all?

You score 1 point for each Clue collected, plus 4 points if you collected all the Clues. To collect one, your Investigator must land on its space after spending a movement point (page 4).
